Object Description: This is the third largest galaxy in our Local Group, after the Andromeda and Milky Way Galaxies. Approximately 2.5 million light years away, it is a naked eye object in my skies. The image is oriented North left. Telescope:

Taken: 28SEP2008 Image Processing: ImagesPlus 3.80 used for data reduction, grading, alignment, SigMed combine, initial DDP, ARL deconvolution. PSCS4 used for levels, curves, and color enhancement. GradX for background equalization. Not sure why I didn't process this at the time, just recently discovered the data on my PC, along with some other data. |
