NGC7380 in Cepheus

Object Description: Star forming region NGC7380. At the peak of each “mountain” lies a newly formed star. Fierce radiation and stellar winds from the bright central stars are blowing away the surrounding dust to reveal a new open cluster of stars. The image is oriented North up.

Image Acquisition: 12x300s, iso800, using CCDCommander & CCDSoft

Image Processing: ImagesPlus 3.80 used for data reduction, alignment, MinMaxExc combine, initial DDP. PSCS2 used for levels, curves, and color enhancement. GradX for background equalization.
